Examples of the different types of wiring used and common defects found. Common electrical boxes found in the field and on-site examples will be demonstrated at the "HOUSE OF HORRORS®"

    • Advanced Roof Inspections

      This course will teach inspectors how to perform visual inspections of a roof system. It covers all aspects of common roof terms, gutters, and drainage, framing and trim, roof coverings, roof flashing, roof ventilation, and a brief section on inspecting chimneys. Ladder safety will also be included in the course. This is an InterNachi approved course for 24 hours of continuing training.

You will be able to identify and report on common and uncommon defects found in a residential home with the use of the “HOUSE OF HORRORS®”.

    • Business Planning

      Congratulations, you want to be your own boss but don't know what's involved. This course covers topics such as, writing a business plan, liability, accounting practices, and business structure.

    • Certified Residential Mold Inspector

      Our two-day Indoor Air Quality course is designed to give the Home Inspector the knowledge to perform air quality testing and complete reports for their clients. The course will focus on the basic science of mold, health issues, sampling techniques, remediation, and marketing. This course will also touch on testing techniques for water quality, asbestos, radon gas and lead base paint. The student will learn how to do a proper inspection and conduct testing. The student will do hands on testing during this course. This is a training certification course and meets the requirements of InterNachi IAQ/2 requirements and a Certified Residential Mold Inspector.

    • Certified Residential Thermographer (CRT) - Level 1

      For Home & Building Inspectors. Students complete the course with a much stronger understanding of Thermal Imaging capabilities and applications as well as the confidence and competence to immediately put that knowledge to use.

    • Commercial Building Inspection

      The purpose of this course is to teach Home Inspectors best practices and to establish a reasonable approach for the performance of an inspection of a commercial property. The objectives for this course inspection of the property, research, a walk-through survey, and report. Also, the course will an inspection of a commercial building which is in operation. The course is InterNachi approved and will award 24 counting training credits

    • Door Blower Testing for Home Inspectors

      This course will teach the basics on how to preform a residential door blower test. It will discuss the requirements of the structure to be tested. The student will learn the proper setup for the test. Students will perform an actual test on the trainer.
